About

Nick Ellman is a Chicago born, New Orleans groomed, Los Angeles based musician.

With saxophone and clarinet as his primary instruments, Nick has enjoyed a varied career performing and/or recording with artists such as Maroon 5, Jamie Cullum, PJ Morton, Big Freedia, Trombone Shorty, GRiZ, Sturgill Simpson, Lauren Daigle, Dumpstaphunk, Rickie Lee Jones, The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Galactic, The Revivalists, Tank and The Bangas, Alex Ebert, Chali 2na (of Jurassic 5), Father John Misty and many more.

After earning a Bachelor of Music, Jazz Studies degree from Loyola University New Orleans in 2013, Nick has toured festivals and venues across the United States and around the globe including Canada, China, Europe and the United Kingdom. 

As a founding member of the critically acclaimed music collective Naughty Professor, Nick has co-produced and recorded on six albums of originally material.

With his debut Electric Clarinet album underway, Nick looks to break down musical barriers while creating something authentic, exciting and unique.
