About

Nick Ellman is a Chicago born, New Orleans trained, Los Angeles based musician.

As a saxophonist and clarinetist, Nick has enjoyed a varied career performing and/or recording with a litany of great artists such as Big Freedia, Maroon 5, Sturgill Simpson, PJ Morton, Rickie Lee Jones, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, GRiZ, Ledisi, The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Galactic, The Revivalists, Tank and The Bangas, Father John Misty, Chali 2na, Alex Ebert and many more. 

After earning a Bachelor of Music, Jazz Studies degree from Loyola University New Orleans in 2013, Nick has toured festivals and venues across the United States and around the globe including Canada, China, Europe and the United Kingdom. 

Nick is a founding member of the critically acclaimed music collective Naughty Professor with whom he has co-produced six albums of original music. 

With his debut Electric Clarinet album underway, Nick looks to break down musical barriers to create something that excites and inspires worldwide.
